She culminated her academic training by earning a PhD in Forensic Science, Public Policy, and Psychology, bringing a comprehensive, multi-faceted perspective to her therapeutic practice and forensic evaluation
Rachel Riojas, MSW, ASW, is an Associate Clinical Social Worker at Empowered Family Therapy dedicated to providing compassionate, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive care to children, adolescents, adults, and families. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from California State University, Stanislaus, bringing a strong clinical foundation in community mental health, outpatient therapy, and crisis intervention. Rachel believes healing happens within safe, supportive relationships, and she partners closely with clients to build emotional regulation, practical skills, and deeper insight.
Utilizing evidence-based modalities—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and client-centered interventions—Rachel thoughtfully tailors treatment to each client’s developmental stage, family system, and cultural background. Ashley is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families feel heard, supported, and understood. She believes therapy works best when it feels collaborative, safe, and tailored to each person’s unique story. Blending relational psychotherapy, evidence-based behavior analysis, and specialized coursework in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), her compassionate, down-to-earth approach honors clients' inherent strengths while providing practical strategies to foster healing and growth. Ashley strives to create a space where lasting change feels accessible. At the heart of her work is a deep commitment to helping people build stronger connections with themselves and with others.
Hayley received her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling in 2013. She was inspired to pursue this field following her experience raising a child with a temporary cognitive disability, which deepened her commitment to supporting individuals and families facing unique challenges.
Hayley is currently registered as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with the Board of Behavioral Sciences. She has clinical experience working with children, adolescents, adults, individuals with cognitive disabilities, and older adults over the age of 65.
In addition to her clinical work, Hayley is actively involved in her community. She provides pro bono advocacy for children in special education, supporting families during Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings. She also serves as the Disability Representative on the Commission on Aging Board.
Outside of her professional role, Hayley enjoys traveling, camping, and spending time with her family.
Regina is a registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) dedicated to helping children, adolescents, adults, and families find hope, healing, and resilience. Grounded in a compassionate, client-centered approach, her work focuses on post-traumatic growth—helping clients uncover their innate strengths, develop healthy coping strategies, and move forward after facing life’s greatest challenges.
Regina brings rich counseling experience across private practice and community-based settings, working with individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, divorce, and major life transitions. In her work with youth, she supports young people facing bullying, abuse, and social difficulties. Integrating creativity into her therapeutic work, Regina draws on her background in writing, music, and the arts—including her original therapeutic art activity, "The Me Tree," which she presented at the international Italy Play Therapy Institute in 2019 to help children process complex emotions.
Regina earned her Master of Arts in Education (M.Ed.) in Professional Clinical Counseling from California State University, Stanislaus, following research at Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame on post-traumatic growth and religious/spiritual coping. She is currently completing training as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and has specialized experience in human trafficking awareness, youth substance prevention, and writing trauma-informed immigration assessments. Danielle holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Writing Studies from UC Merced, where she gained valuable research experience focusing on adolescent mental health while providing social skills training and group support to elementary through high school students. She holds certificates in Community Social Work through UC Merced and Supervised Visitation, actively providing court-ordered supervised visitation while completing her Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification. Danielle is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work (MSW) at the University of the Pacific and serving as an MSW Intern. In addition to her academic background, she has developed strong communication and leadership skills across educational and community settings. Danielle's dedication to service reflects her belief in meeting individuals where they are to foster growth and resilience, with an ultimate goal of empowering children and families through compassionate, evidence-based care.
